We fondly call our casa the palace because it is so big and pretty fancy. The last couple days they have been installing the hardwood floating floors in two of the rooms downstairs. Last night Claudine, Eve and I watched a DVD on Eve's computer of King Arthur with Spanish subtitles. In the city streets you can buy DVDs which have been created by someone videoing a movie in the theatre and then burning DVDs from it. Quality is pretty weird but no one can afford real DVDs here so it's hard to find them anywhere. One of my favorite places in Riobamba is called Dulche Vida. It is an Italian cafe with gelato just like I've had in Italy (really really good creamy soft ice cream) and cappicinos and other coffee drinks (yes Andris, even mochas).
