Front Stairs (July, 2005)

Buiding new stairs for the front porch of the Decatur house.

• Before: the old stairs
• Before - closer view
• First idea - paver blocks Nah!
• Next idea - wooden stairs: starting to pour the footings after ledger board was set
• Three of four footings poured
• Stringers now attached to ledger and finished footings
• Pressure-treated 2x12 stair treads attached (temporary railing)
• Railing done
